Our Vision

All Creatures in a non-profit ministry with a heart for increasing bible literacy across New Zealand.

We desire to see all creatures – from the newest believers, to the veterans of the faith, to the inquiring youth — come to know, worship, and love our God.

To do this we design beautiful and pedagogically sound resources to help develop bible literacy and increase engagement in scripture.

The Literacy Problem

With a named literacy epidemic across New Zealand, it is wise to expect this literacy deficit not only affects education environments, but churches as well.

Literacy involves reading, writing & speaking to make sense of the world and to communicate effectively.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Hebrews 4:12

The Transforming Word

We believe in the life changing work of the Word of God. This becomes problematic if new generations lack sufficient literacy.

  • Low literacy = low ability to read and comprehend scripture for life transformation
  • Low literacy = difficulty communicating beliefs to others
  • Low Literacy disproportionately affecting some groups more than others = less spiritual transformation within some demographics and communities

Filling the resource gap

While awesome resources for deep bible study already exist, we believe there are gaps in the market for beautiful, bible centered, and aim to develop literacy. Our resources:

The Scripture Notebook

Our flagship resource – the Scripture Notebook – is a booklet created to encourage deep study of scripture.

Providing literacy strategies and placing scripture alongside ample note-taking space, readers are equipped with the skills and the space to begin their bible study journeys.

Studies show that note-taking is one of the best ways to promote active reading and comprehension, organise thoughts and ideas, and commit learning to memory. This resource prioritises note-taking for study.
